Creating A Website Can Be Fun

Sometimes "work" can be a four letter word. Creating a website can take a lot of time and thought especially if you don't exactly know what you are doing. Don't let this get you down because creating anything, even a website, can be a lot of fun.

Templates - When creating a website, the easiest way to get started is to use a template that the webhost already has available. The number of templates that you can choose from will vary but each one is a little different. When choosing a template, browse through them first and make note of which ones you like. Don't pick the first one because there might be another that may have something extra that you like about it.

Imagination - Once you have your chosen template, then it is time for your imagination to do its thing. You may be saying to yourself that you don't have much of an imagination. Some people are more creative than others, but I know that you can be too. If you need a jump start to get moving forward in creating you can go to several of your favorite websites and take note of their layout, the colors they use and other features that you like about it. You can also search your competitor's websites and look to see how they have their sites designed.

Simple - Keep in mind that when creating a website, you want to give your reader a pleasurable experience while on your website. This means that the site should be easy to read, easy to maneuver around and easy for them to be captivated so that they want to buy what you have to offer. Remember, the point of your site is to make money; right?

Enjoy - Making money is why you are creating a website. Everyone has seen at least one website that was either extremely boring or it just didn't have the pizzazz to keep you on the site. The information that you were looking for may have been there, but the site couldn't keep your attention so you didn't stay long on that page and didn't get what you wanted or needed. Take the creation seriously but make it fun and enjoyable for you and your reader.



Tools - Take advantage of tools that the webhost has available. Use themes (different aspects that coordinate) that have colors and fonts that are user-friendly and relate to what you are selling. If you are selling books, you want the colors to be more subtle and the fonts easy to read. If you are selling skateboards, than the colors can be trendier and the fonts more unique to give the website a more unique and edgy look. You want your reader to be able to relate to what you have on your website. And use the same colors and fonts on each page to ensure conformity on your site.
